VOLUNTEER WITH IOWA WINE FOR A GOOD TIME
Are you an Iowa wine enthusiast? Do you enjoy being around people and simultaneously getting free swag? Then do we have some opportunities for you! We’re looking for a few reliable and FUN people to help us out with some upcoming events this summer. Tasks for the various volunteer opportunities vary, but one thing is for sure - be ready to have a good time while helping us out! Iowa Wine Festival Series
Eastern Iowa Wine Festival - Sunday, June 13, 2021 / Park Farm Winery / 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. (morning, midday and afternoon shifts available)
Central/Western Iowa Wine Festival - Sunday, June 27, 2021 / Covered Bridges Winery / 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. (morning, midday and afternoon shifts available)
Volunteers (aka our Iowa Wine Crew) at our Iowa Wine Festival events may be helping with any of the following responsibilities:
Assisting wineries with load-in and load-out of supplies
General event setup, including putting out signage, setting out chairs and tables, handing out tasting supplies, etc.
Welcoming Festival guests at the entrance and directing traffic to appropriate areas
Assisting in the admin/welcome booth, including checking guests in upon arrival, issuing wristbands, stuffing and handing out Festival guest bags (including their tasting glass, wine bags, pen, guides, etc.), answering general questions, directing Festival goers to restrooms and other areas, etc.
Ensuring wineries have adequate supplies throughout the event
Fulfilling wine purchases at checkout area and assisting guests with transporting wine to/from their vehicles
Operating a golf cart to transport guests to/from the parking area and the Festival and/or transporting wine after purchase
General event tear-down, including folding chairs, taking down signage, packing up supplies, picking up trash, etc.
In exchange for your help, we'll provide you with a FREE bottle of wine to take home, all the Festival attendee goodies, a super cool Iowa wine T-shirt to wear (exclusive for our crew!), a $10 coupon for food purchase from any of our food trucks on site, and a ticket into the Festival (obviously) ... and maybe a chance to try a few of the wines during "breaks" :)
So, who's ready to have some fun and help us pull off these Festival events?!? We are looking for volunteers to commit to shifts at our events to ensure the Festivals run smoothly. If you've volunteered with us before, you know that we like to have a good time and your "work" goes by fast! Signups are now open for the Festivals and we encourage you to sign up ASAP, as they fill fast and are taken on a first come, first served basis.
